Frequently Asked Questions

As your NP mentor, I use a hybrid model.
In healthcare, there are two common themes:
1. Navigating complex clinical issues — mastering efficiency, finding your stride, and solving tactical problems.
2. Managing the intense mental load of healthcare — burnout, imposter syndrome, and the emotional weight of caring for others.
Sometimes you need answers. Sometimes you need space to find your own answers.
Using both coaching and mentorship tools allows you to work toward your goals — your way.

Both! Nurses of all types.
I work with:
- Aspiring nurses (pre-RN or pre-NP)
- New graduate RNs and NPs
- Experienced RNs transitioning to NP
- Experienced NPs feeling stuck or burned out
- Healthcare corporations looking to retain their nurses
Wherever you are in your journey — we have space for you.

Great question — and an important one to differentiate.
Sometimes they overlap, and that's great. But when you need a mentor, it's important you find one.
Preceptorship is typically clinically focused and often required for school or onboarding. A preceptor teaches you specific skills, signs off on competencies, and evaluates your performance. Sometimes it blossoms into more — which is wonderful.
Mentorship is different.
Unlike preceptorship, you are choosing to have support and a strategic advisor to help you work through clinical and non-clinical issues. I'm not evaluating you. I'm not signing off on anything. I'm here to support you. We work through imposter syndrome, burnout, career pivots, contract negotiations, and building sustainable routines.
You can have both. But mentorship is where you get to show up as a human, not just a trainee.
-
Burnout is complicated — but within reach to improve and recover from. Burnout is both an organizational concern and an individual experience. We can focus on ways to improve both and implement change, or we can concentrate on your needs right now.

I offer 1:1 individual sessions and group sessions. Here's how it works:
1. You book a free 30-minute intro call.
2. We talk about your goals, your challenges, and what you're hoping to get out of mentorship.
3. I listen — then share how I can support you based on where you are right now.
4. You decide if it feels like a fit.
During your free consultation, we'll also discuss:
- Your goals
- The time you can commit
- How often you want to meet

We work with corporations and organizations to help retain nurses, decrease burnout, and improve the employee experience.
